We designed the complete curriculum and trained the counselors for the Octobots Summer Camp, a summer robotics program hosted by FRC Team Octobots #9084. Our mission is to help Team Octobots build one of the most engaging and impactful summer camp experiences in our community. We provide training for counselors so that they are equiped with the knowledge, teaching strategies, and resources needed to deliver an engaging, high-quality summer camp experience while making the best use of the equipment and materials available to the team. The curriculum features daily engineering challenges, team-building activities, introductory coding lessons, and structured instruction in mechanical design and robot construction. Throughout the week, campers are encouraged to think critically, collaborate effectively, and persevere through the engineering design process. Since its launch in 2025, the camp has doubled in enrollment, fueled by overwhelmingly positive feedback and enthusiastic reviews from both campers and parents.
